Why should we rent a villa? Why rent Samui Family Villa?

Renting a villa for a vacation is quite a new idea. Most people still choose to stay in hotels and resorts, and for many families this may still be the right choice to make. However a villa of your own offers many advantages that even a five star hotel or resort can't match-and in the case of Samui Family Villa, they can't even match our price, let alone the savings you will enjoy being able to buy and store your own drinks and food. Here is an example day from our family-we have two young daughters.

Time Activity
07:30 The girls are up and about. Having plenty of space, they are playing in the living room while mum and dad enjoy a bit of a lie in, confident that the girls can't get out to the pool because of the high lock doors.
08:00 Mum and dad drag themselves out of their king sized bed. We get the kids toast for breakfast with their favourite spread, bought the day before from the supermarket next door. Put a pot of coffee on and enjoy it on the large deck with cereal.
08:30 The girls decide they want to go for a swim, so they run up to their rooms, get changed and jump in the pool. Mum and dad are still getting going, so they enjoy a second cup of coffee watching the girls play in the pool. Eldest girl is figuring out how to use snorkel and mask.
09:30 Family decision made to head to the beach. Which one? Chaweng, we decide. Chuck a few supplies in the beach bag, jump in the jeep and off we go.
09:40 Found our favourite spot at Chaweng beach. Girls are playing in the sand. Mum and dad lazing on deck chairs. We have water, drinks and snacks with us, although can also order from he hotel whose deck chairs we have rented ($3.00 a day)
10:30 Mum takes girls into the ocean for a swim, Dad pops into the shops to grab a couple of DVD's ($3.00 each)
12:00 Girls have enjoyed a couple of hours swimming and playing in the sand but are starting to get a bit grumpy and tired from in the hot midday sun. Gather up our stuff and drive 10 minutes back to villa
12:10 Girls have found new energy. Mum and daughters jump in the pool, Dad fixes some sandwiches and makes a blended watermelon shake for everyone.
12:40 Lunch inside to escape the heat. Youngest daughter is almost asleep at the table, so put her down in her cot with A/C on. Eldest daughter puts a DVD on, Mum has a lie down in the bedroom, and Dad has a beer on the deck, listening to his Ipod which is plugged into the stereo, with the speakers on the deck. Jump in the pool every now and then to cool down.
1:30 Mum has fallen asleep. Eldest daughter enjoying a swim with Dad. It's a thirsty day, but the well-stocked fridge is only a few steps away. Each drink costing 1/5 what it would in a hotel.
2:30 Hear youngest wake up. Warm up her bottle in the microwave, then when she has finished it she joins us in the pool.
3:00 Mum emerges still looking half asleep. Puts the coffee on and we enjoy it with a piece of cake on the deck, watching the girls in the pool.
3:30 Pop to the supermarket next door to stock up. Girls play on the playground.
4:00 Decide to drive around the island to have dinner and enjoy the dancing show at Big Johns. Get changed and ready.
5:00 Arrive Big Johns. Girls get in their pool and quickly make friends with some other children. Mum and Dad laze in the deck chairs watching the sunset.
7:00 Dinner and the show-such a friendly family place and they know us well.
9:00 Head back to the villa. Girls asleep in the back of the jeep.
9:40 Girls are tucked up in bed on the second floor. Mum and Dad enjoying a glass of wine on the peace and quiet of the deck.
11:00 A last swim, then Mum and Dad head to bed. The girls are upstairs safe and sound, and romance is in the air ;-)
